STEP 9 – LEARN OR ACQUIRE THE RIGHT STABUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS.

Execute your Plan using exponential thinking and employing exponential strategies. Measure your actions and your results daily. Don’t just measure your progress quarterly, half yearly or annually. Just aim to achieve a 1% improvement each day on what you did the previous day and al the rest will follow. Watch the compounding effect of this discipline and enjoy your rewards!1

Now tell me, where else have you seen this put forward as one of the top 10 critical steps to master for success on the Internet? Is this what you see coming in daily to your inbox from those out there who are asking to sell you something or to coach you?

Think about it – what is the point of being given a racing car if you have not yet learnt how to race it? It will just sit in your garage waiting for you to catch up and learn how to drive it. The same thing applies with equal force and logic here. Do you want to become an Internet Entrepreneur or just someone playing on the Internet for fun or as a hobby? What stakes do you want to play for? How committed are you really?

If you are aiming for the top 10% club then there is no avoiding Step 9. The top 10% club, like the Formula 1 Ferrari racing car, is only for the serious professional who is dedicated to and focused on the game of success. Try driving a Ferrari at 200 mph around a race - track without total mastery and understanding of the car, aero dynamics, driving technique and the track and you are taking on a high risk that your will crash and get injured. The same applies to the Internet. If you truly wish to make it into the top 10% club then you must take upon yourself to learn and master all of these 10 critical steps, and not just some of them or none of them.

So what are these business and entrepreneurial skills?

Here is a brief overview of what they encompass –

  • Understanding and applying effective goal setting;
  • Understanding the psychology and laws of money;
  • Understanding how to carry out proper due diligence and feasibility assessment to determine whether or not your Internet Business Plan is commercially viable;
  • Understanding how to access your creative mind and resources and brainstorm your ideas to test and evaluate them;
  • Understanding the value of your personal time and how to use your own time in the most effective way to achieve maximum results and outcomes using the least possible expenditure of time, effort and money;
  • Understanding market forces and dynamics;
  • Understanding this formula – Value + Leverage = Wealth 2 ;
  • Understanding how to acquire and then leverage good communication and people skills;
  • Understanding the importance of team building and how to harness the incredible power of team effort;
  • Learning and applying Leadership skills;
  • Understanding the importance of profiling when selecting persons for your team so that you recruit the right person for the right job to ensure maximum productivity and results;
  • Understanding and applying the ‘pareto principle’ – known as the 20/80 rule – i.e. you can achieve 80% of your results from focusing yourself chiefly on just 20% of your clients/customers/daily work tasks etc. The entrepreneurial skill is in identifying each day where to apply your chief focus to extract the highest value out of your time and effort;
  • Understanding how to identify who is your ideal prospect, customer, client; their wants and needs and how to supply those wants and needs better and more skilfully than any of your competitors;
  • Understanding demographics and how to use that understanding to assist you to better identify your ideal target audience for effective and more profitable internet marketing;
  • Understanding how to set a strategic marketing plan and budget;
  • Understanding how to determine the lifetime value of each customer or client and use that to help you set the correct marketing budget;
  • Understanding how you can more easily increase your wealth by learning how to convert every ideal prospect into a long term customer or client rather than constantly focusing on winning new customers or clients;
  • Understanding Wealth Dynamics and how to harness that to your own benefit;
  • Understanding and applying “exponential thinking” and “exponential strategies” to achieve the best results in the shortest possible time using the least amount of your time, energy and resources.3
  • Understanding that your most valuable asset is your personal time and knowing how to maximise the use of personal time each day;
  • Understanding that effective time management requires a high level of organisational skill and the ability to delegate and outsource work tasks that you should not be doing yourself in order that you maximise your ability each day to focus on only those things that represent the highest use of your own time;
  • Understanding and applying the philosophy that to be the best you can be and achieve the most you can achieve you must love what you do, feel excited about each new day and have a high level of personal motivation to accomplish the goals you have set for yourself;
  • As Tony Robbins says “Living Life with Passion”;
  • Understanding that “Success” is not just business and financial success but success in all the key areas of life and living – Relationships, Personal health and vitality, Family, Fun, laughter and excitement and Spiritual Growth and Personal development.
