Dear Friends,
Over last five years or so we have been hearing a lot about the power of Thought. Who has not yet heard about the Law of Attraction? Who has not yet watched “The Secret” or read the book by Rhonda Bryne? People like Bob Proctor and John Assaraf and others talk about it all the time.
But if you dig deeper you will discover the bit that maybe wasn’t highlighted and emphasized enough by Rhonda and the producers of The Secret – the Power of Emotions.
As always, the truth is that change requires applied effort, discipline and persistence. Our main enemy are our firmly entrenched beliefs and habits. They resist the change that opens the door to higher levels of awareness and success. They fight to retain the status quo.
Another part of “the Truth” is that not much has changed for you in 2011, and not much will change for you in 2012 and beyond (it will continue to be the same old same old dished up) until and unless you find enough reasons and enough pain linked to the continuation of the same old same old you are getting in life to cause you to commit to doing what you need to do to bring about the change you desire.
The truth about the power of Thought is all about us, and has been all about us for a very long time. Some of us hear it, get it and act upon it and effect change, but many of us don’t. For instance -
“You become what you think about” was stated by Ralph Waldo Emerson over a 100 years ago.
Much further back in history the Buddha said “We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think”.
These themes were elucidated with great clarity and beauty by James Allen in “As a Man Thinketh” and by Wallce D Wattles in “The Science of Getting Rich”; and they were vividly brought to life by Rhonda Byrne in her production of “The Secret” in DVD.
But five years after “the Secret” hit our consciousness with a big splash, many of us still struggle to change our circumstances in a major way, whilst some clearly are “getting it” and forging ahead in quantum leaps and bounds.
The explanation for this is there to be found.
It is the missing link to realizing your success and your true potential.
Here it is -
You cannot offer enough action to compensate for the contradictory Energy of your Being. Things will not improve for you until you learn to change your Vibration. The Law of Attraction will not work just by your Actions alone. It only responds to a change in your Vibration.
Ponder this deeply. The power that lies within these words can transform your life in 2012 and beyond.
The biggest mistake that most of us make when striving for success, is that we put all our focus on our Actions without, at the same time, changing our vibration so that our vibration and our energy aligns with the vibration and energy of that which we wish to attract into our lives.
The “attractor factor” in the Law of Attraction is all about the alignment of energy of our thoughts with that which we attract.
So, how do we change our energy and vibration to align it with what we wish to attact?
It all lies in our Feelings. We need to find Feeling-Thoughts that align with our chosen goals. These feeling-thoughts directly relate and arise from where we choose to put our mental focus during the day.
Bob Proctor tells his audiences everywhere not to focus on your present circumstances (e.g. Your monthly expenses exceed your monthly income and you just cannot get ahead). If you focus on your lack, then no matter what goals you set for yourself to get you out of lack and into abundance, it just wont happen. You will stay in lack and scarcity. Your vibration will be attuned to your belief in lack and this will prevent you from receiving the opportunities and discovering the ideas, people and circumstances you need to move into abundance.
If you focus on your present circumstances all the time, you build up a vibration and energy that will simply attract more of the same.
The key to consistently getting the good results that you desire is to manage to feel good, and feel abundant, and feel successful, and feel grateful even when your present circumstances don’t reflect that (e.g. the amount of money you have in the bank).
When you learn to manage the way you feel (regardless of your actual external circumstances) you will discover the powerful leverage of what is called “energy alignment” and you will then see the Law of Attraction working in your Life, and after that your Life will never be the same again.
So, remember, the correct order of things is -
- Change your Thoughts AND Feelings First;
- Then Take Action in the direction of your goals every day.
If you neglect the first step, then all the rest will come to nothing except increasing frustration and then desperation.
If you want to study this in more depth I strongly recommend you get hold of the book “The Astonishing Power of Emotions” by Esther and Jerry Hicks.
What I have said here applies with full force to whatever you choose to use as your vehicle for success – be it Internet Marketing, building a business, managing a company or being in a chosen profession.
It has been quite a long time since I have published a post on this blog as I have been distracted by things happening elsewhere. But there is nothing more profound or more valuable that I can offer to you at the end of a year and the start of a new one.
I wish all of you success, good health and happiness in 2012 and beyond.
